South Fellowship Church

At South Fellowship Church, we believe we are changed when we encounter Jesus. Each week, we teach through a passage of Scripture, asking Him what He wants us to learn and how He is calling us to live in His way with His heart. Our sermons invite people from all backgrounds and spiritual levels to grow in Christlikeness and follow His example—because that is ultimately what the world needs. Want to dive deeper? Check out Red Couch Theology! Recorded live on YouTube every Thursday at 11am, this podcast unpacks Sunday’s teaching through casual, insightful discussions with Pastors Alex, Aaron, and occasional guests. Based in Littleton, CO.

Laborers in the Field

John 4:1-38
The woman at the well. Probably one of the most loved stories in the New Testament. We get to see Jesus shower grace and mercy down on a woman who didn't deserve it and we are reminded of the way he has done the same for us.
There is more to the passage though.

The Seat's Taken

Sunday Aug 26, 2012

Sunday Aug 26, 2012

Revelation 4:1-11
God was on throne, is on the throne, and will always be on the throne. The problem is that often times it doesn't feel like it. There are things that happen in life that make it hard to believe that God is sovereign and in charge. Bit, the reality is that He is on the throne; and that reality has massive implications for our life!

Romans 12:1-2
Transformation is one of those things that everybody wants, and that few people are able to obtain. All of us want to grow and develop as people, but we have the realization that just trying harder never brings about the results that we are looking for. In this message, Pastor Ryan talks about the way the gospel transforms lives.

Worshipers and the Lost Ark

Monday Aug 13, 2012

Monday Aug 13, 2012

2 Samuel 6:1-23
This is the second message in our series on worship that we are calling "Lives in Orbit." In this message we explore the way that David sought the Lord's presence, came to understand his holiness, expressed his worship to God, and was more concerned with God than he was with other people. It's a great passage that drills deep into the soul of the worshiper!

Exodus 32:1-34
Every life revolves around something. This is the first message in a series on worship. We are all worshipers, it's hardwired into our DNA as human beings. There are significant implications of this!

Counting the Cost

Sunday Jul 29, 2012

Sunday Jul 29, 2012

Luke 14:25-33
In this passage Jesus calls his disciples to love him above everything else in their lives and to be willing to sacrifice everything for him. What a high calling.

Model Citizens

Luke 18:15-17
Jesus was different. he spent time with people that no one else in his day spent time with. He valued people that no one else seemed to value. One of those groups, was children. You can see this in the way that the disciples tried to get the children away from Jesus, but he welcomed them with open arms. in fact, he went so far as to say that if we don't receive the kingdom of heaven like a child, we will never enter it. That's pretty big! In this message we explore what he meant by that.

Love Beyond Reason

Sunday Jul 15, 2012

Sunday Jul 15, 2012

Luke 7:35-50
When she entered the room, the air must have been absolutely sucked out of the place. It was risky for a woman like this to enter any room full of men, nonetheless a room full of pious religious men. But, she not only shows up, but she shows up and she shows them all up in the way that she lavishly loves Jesus. Her gift to him doesn't make a whole lot of sense and even seems like a waste on the surface. I'm challenged to think through what it looks like to love Jesus in a way that moves beyond reason.

Beyond these Walls

Sunday Jul 08, 2012

Sunday Jul 08, 2012

Luke 7:18-28
John the Baptist. A hero of the faith. Cousin of Jesus. The first one to publicly declare that Jesus was the one who would take away the sins of the world. That's a pretty impressive resume if you ask me. That's what makes it all the more amazing that John would, from jail, send word to Jesus and ask, "Are you the one we've been waiting for, or should we expect someone else." Wait, what? I don't know about you, but hearing about John's doubt gives me hope. Hearing Jesus' answer to him gives me motivation to keep pushing!

A Better Way

Sunday Jul 01, 2012

Sunday Jul 01, 2012

Luke 6:27-36
Some of the sayings of Jesus are hard to understand. This one is at the top of the list. Love your enemies? Pray for those who persecute you? Bless those who curse you? Those are commands that we have a hard time getting our hearts and minds around. In this message we propose that in inviting to live so couter to our human nature, Jesus might just be extending an offer to abundant life.
